F4F Reviews: Dad Gets Crafty with The Curiosity Box

The Curiosity Box: Crafts for the Whole Family and More

When you think of a parent doing crafts with their kids, moms often gets all the credit. But dads can be crafty too. I’m down with decoupage. I’m up on the latest types of paste that kids like to eat…err, use to make beautiful works of art. I like taking out my safety scissors and sitting at the table with my daughter cutting up shapes. That’s why when a company called The Curiosity Box asked if they could send me…err, my daughter, one of their signature subscription boxes, full of fun crafts for children of all ages (well, at least between 3 and 40), I actually got really excited.

The concept is pretty simple: you pay a subscription fee (for 3, 6, or 12 months), and once a month your child gets a cool craft box filled with everything you need, delivered to your front door. It’s all organized and ready to go; just open the box and start crafting. It’s perfect for those busy parents who want to do crafts with their kids but just can’t seem to find the time to shop for all the moving pieces (or people who might walk in to a Michael's and never want to leave). “It was an idea born out of necessity,” says Cassie Krygsman, the creative mind and mompreneur behind The Curiosity Box.
