DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS: NEW DADS- WHAT TO DO WHEN MOTHER, AND CHILD, GET SICK ON YOU

If you ask me, fatherhood isn't always sunshine and lollipops. And no matter how much you love your child, your wife, and even your job, there will be days when you just have to ask yourself if it was worth getting out of bed. Now, I might sound like I have a bitter taste in my mouth (that could just be the taste of vomit... possibly my own), but there are times when being a father is just more than you might have bargained for.

Fodder Up!: Part VI - Taking a Temperature/Reducing a Fever

"I Wish My Mommy Was Here!"

This week we're going to really get our hands dirty and delve right in to a topic that makes most new dads extremely uncomfortable. So far we've overcome some pretty standard fears that come part and parcel with parenting (changing a diaper, CPR, bathing), but this one possibly takes the cake. BAD MEDICINE: WHO REALLY 'CARES' FOR YOUR KID IN AN EMERGENCY?

I've never been a fan of the concept behind "barrier to entry." When you need (and I mean absolutely need) a service, you shouldn't be turned away at the door- especially not just because somebody else is having a bad day, or you're coming in at the eleventh hour. That doesn't sit well with me, nor should it. I've encountered this a few times- getting the  Heisman - from the most unexpected places. Places where you'd expect people to care - but they don't.

FODDER UP: PROPER DIAPERING TECHNIQUE 4 BEGINNERS

I'm always looking for new segments to help new parents (but more specifically dads) to step up and embrace their new responsibilities. And seeing as most first-timers feel like they've bitten off more than they can chew, I find its not enough to merely explain the ins and outs of dad-dom... Its so much easier to just show you how easy it can be.
