"Daddy Take Me To The Park!" - Things All Dads Should Want to Do

Image courtesy of www.pkmeco.comIf you live in a colder climate, like I do, there are a lot of men who can’t wait for the warmer weather of spring and summer. Maybe you’re a golfer and you can’t wait to get out on the links, or maybe you’re the kind of guy who misses seeing young pretty girls in short shorts and short skirts again. And yes I like to see young pretty girls in short shorts, but as a happily married man looking at them is pretty much as far as I go. So my greatest joy in the summer months, other than cooking a nice big juicy steak on my barbeque and enjoying a cold beer on a hot summer day, is taking my 3-year-old daughter to the end of my block and listening to her squeal (joyfully) as I push her back and forth on a rickety old swing set.

Maybe its worthwhile to teach your daughter something that will one day cause her to have the arms of super hero and the chest of an aging Jack Lalanne. Unfortunately, I didn't see it that way. So I opened up my big, fat mouth.
